Koudum Molen

Captured during a visit to northern Netherlands in the gemente Friesland. Koudum is situated close to the coast, a quiet, quaint town. Hidden among the cobblestone streets is this gem, a historic windmill, or molen. Friesland is definitely a "must-see" on anyone visit to The Netherlands. Although windmills are still quite common in The Netherlands, they are not as readily viewable as they once were. Nearly the entire trip was washed out with incessant rain, however this day the sun shone for several hours, making an opportune time to capture this beauty!
