Summer is always a special experience in Grand Teton National Park, and one feature this week is the full moon. Supermoon light cast immediately after sunset on the Tetons of western Wyoming, captured under diffused moonlight. The long exposure caught the shadows cast on the majestic mountain peaks. A slight breeze kept the water from reaching a full mirror-like reflection, yet the peace of the moment was sufficient to capture the serenity of the scene. I sat on water's edge, listening to coyotes calling in the distance, snapping shot after shot, and a glimmer of light from a passing auto helped cast a yellow hue to the right side of the image. I knew after the click of this one that I had what I wanted and called it a night.
