This past June marked one-year of my journey in Alaska. And that same month I was fortunate to have the experience of going along with some friends to Lake Clark National Park on the Alaska Peninsula. During the afternoon of the first day, we had an absolutely amazing experience with a bear I dubbed "Beauty." She posed, as in literally posed. Time and time again, she posed. What is this? A beauty pageant? I took advantage of the opportunity by positioning myself right on the ground, because I wanted the perspective right at eye level. And what a difference it made. Do you feel like you are right there with her?
