Touch of Winter
The Oquirrh Mountains stretch in a north-south direction along the west side of the Salt Lake Valley. Compared to the rest of the Wasatch Range, they appear from a distance to merely be hills. The highest peak of this range is Flap Top Mountain, reaching 10,620 feet (3,237m).
On this particular occasion, fall was well upon area, with colors ranging from yellow and orange to deep red. My wife joined me and we Jeeped through the area. A winter storm hit the area, dropping up to a foot of snow. Thankfully our Jeep pressed through it and we blazed a trail to this vantage point. As we reached here the sun broke through just enough to highlight the area in a gorgeous yellow and orange light, providing this amazing scene!
