Grazing
"Grazing." I am fascinated watching brown bears in their natural environment, constantly in search of food. In Alaska, summers are particularly short, so bears quickly move from one food source to the next, fattening up to survive the long-harsh winter. In the Alaska Peninsula, coastal brown bears spend their time grazing during high tide, then clamming at low tide. I rather enjoyed watching this coastal brown bear spend so much time grazing in the field.
