Solace

"Solace." Captured at twilight in the remote portion of the Navajo Nation, accessible only with a professional Navajo guide. On a cold, quiet morning, out of darkness appeared the sandstone totems, as the night transitioned to twilight; an enlightening, just as one gains solace after tragedy. What a beautiful morning in the desert. Ironically many consider Monument Valley in Utah; however the Navajo Tribal Park spans both Utah and Arizona, and in fact most of its predominant features, including this one, are located in Arizona.
