Sacred Light

Mid-morning misty light in Redwood National Park of northern California. A friend and I hiked up from the beach into the forest filled with redwoods and ferns. When I climbed over the ridge to see this sight, my jaw gaped open – What an amazing scene! The moment was spiritual, sacred. We took a moment to admire the scene, think of a composition, and click our shutter releases. This single exposure drew out the best of the scene, showing deep shadows and strong highlights!
