Gem

The Pacific Northwest is filled with photographic opportunities, literally one around each corner. This gem of a view was just such a find. Arrival brought two friends to this spot late in the evening under overcast skies. Then when sunset came and went the tones in the sky went from gray, to blue, to a rainbow of pastels. I sprinted to this vantage point to capture the reflective foreground just in time before the colors diminished over the horizon.
