Captured during a rainstorm after hiking up McCord Creek in the Columbia River Gorge. The area is characterized by a lush, green forest covered by ferns, moss, and lichen. Due to the timing of my visit, early spring, most of the color was more lime-green in nature, rather than deep green.
Elowah Falls drops approximately 213 feet to a pool bowl below, then casts spray in all directions for several hundred feet, making photography extremely difficult at best. Captured this shot to the immediate east of a footbridge that spans McCord Creek.
