Calm Before the Storm

Most of the water within Acadia National Park is drinking water for the local residents and visitors. Therefore most signage indicates "no swimming," "no canoeing," and even "no wading." As such, I carefully walked along the shoreline, attempting to not even dip my toes in the water. While creeping along the shoreline ever so carefully, I stumbled upon this scene on the beach. The lake water was calm, but it only lasted a short while. Just a few minutes later a thick fog wrapped around both sides of me and the scene here turned a dismal gray, resulting in heavy rainstorms that lasted throughout the next day. Thankfully I was able to catch the calm before the storm.
