Castle Towers

Near Moab is one of Utah's hidden jewels, Castle Valley. The pinnacles are fascinating to see in person, and even more incredible during golden hours. On this particular evening the sky was overcast, but thankfully just as golden hour began the sky cleared somewhat. For just a few minutes the sun glowed on these features, Castleton Tower (right) and The Rectory (left). I grabbed my gear and setup. Just seconds after this capture the light dwindled into a dull gray.
